little letters.

people tend to think, atleast i often do, that God is going to show everyone the same thing at the same time...

but He doesn't.

it's more like this...

imagine a postman, walking down a street handing out letters to each of the people at each of the houses.  each of the letters is white, and each is about the same size...the stamps may be different, and of course the street address on each is different, but in general each of them 'looks' pretty much the same.

however, one importand peculiarity is that each is addressed to a specific person.  namely the one who recieves it.  john gets john's letter.  and diane gets diane's letter.  john cannot open diane's and diane cannot open john's.

now, at first, one may assume (since all the little white letters 'look' the same, especially from your front porch) that each will read the same thing once opened.  but this is just not true.  what we find, once we open the envelope, is that each one is, in fact, quite different.  some letters are thicker.  some are less.  some seem quite old and some quite fresh.  and really, the differences are endless and infinite.  what they are not, are all the same.  they are not carbon copies of the last, and most definitely not a massive mailing campaign where everyone gets the same lifeless and impersonal letter addressed to whom it may concern.

what you find that we get is something we can hold in our hands. something only we can see, and feel, and touch.  it reads in a language only the one whom it is addressed to can understand.  when you are holding your letter, it speaks to you, more than like you are reading it.  it's not too short and it's not too long.  in fact, it's quite right for you.  and could only have been meant for you.

in the end, what we find is the only similarity between john and diane's letters...and mine and yours...is that they are written in the same Hand-writing.
